Jackie + Zach’s Rhode Island Wedding at Home

It is always an honor to photograph your friends in their most memorable moments. So when Jackie & Zach, two old friends from my days of living in Nashville, asked if I would consider making the trek to Rhode Island for their intimate wedding in the middle of Covid, I didn’t hesitate.
They hosted their whole family on the veranda at The Ocean House in Westerly, RI for their rehearsal dinner & welcoming party – a big party, indeed. Saturday was filled with family hangs on the dock, boat rides with the bride’s dad, lots of music (the groom is a wonderful singer-songwriter based in Nashville and the bride is a kickass singer, though she will never tell you that), getting ready on the sunny porch in the house they grew up vacationing in, and, of course, the wedding! The ceremony happened right by the water, complete with a bridal entrance via boat with her dad.
The reception was held in the backyard with a seafood truck, a fire pit, lots of Narragansett Lager, and again, lots of music. The entire weekend was filled with the most personal touches and laughs. And I was just thankful to be there.
